Eric Farber is a Brooklyn-based percussionist and theater artist. Eric cut his teeth as the house drummer at the Coney Island Sideshow and New York Burlesque Festivals for nearly a decade. More recently, Eric’s “wildly animated” performance and “positively gasp-worthy” percussion design have been featured in a number of Regional and Off-Broadway theater productions, including The Foundry Theatre’s Good Person of Szechwan (Drama Desk Nomination: Outstanding Music in a Play – Public Theater, LaMaMa); FUTURITY (Drama Desk Nomination: Outstanding Set Design, Lortel Award: Outstanding Musical, OBA Award: Best New Musical – ARS Nova/SoHoRep, Mass MoCA, Walker Art Center/A.R.T.); The Skin of our Teeth (TFANA); Animal Wisdom (Bushwick Starr); The Infinite Hotel (Prototype). Eric is currently writing The Parade Ground – an experimental opera for marching band, staged in the streets of New York. Eric has toured with Taylor Mac‘s 24-Decade History of Popular Music, and is a member of The Ladybug Transistor (Merge Records) and The Lisps (Extropian Records). Eric holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Milton Avery School of the Arts at Bard College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The New School University.
